Story Title: Husband,Father,Grandpa,Friend
By: Mildred Carpenter
Dear Daddy:
I miss you so much already, I realize that you had to leave to be with Mom. My eyes continue to fill with tears, but tears of joy, because you are at peace and with the ones you have loved and missed so dearly. You game me strength, wisdom, courage, love, faith, and most of all you took me to raise when i wasn’t yours and showed me what a real father was. I will miss are long talks, and sharing lots of fun memories. Sitting outside watching you work away on stripping and varnishing wood work. You listen to me through the years and was always there to listen to me. I remember before you took me and raised me you would walk down to woodruff place and take me to burger chef to eat, and told me when i was tall enough to reach the over the counter i could choose my own burger. I remember the times that you would dance with me when i was 6 and 7 years old. You let me make my own mistakes, but never condemned me. You thought me so much about history. I told you that i would always be here for you and would never leave your side. Thank you dear God for sharing my dad and letting me have him to love. R.I.P Dad I love you.
